Your Experience on the Kona Snorkel & Dolphin Watching Tour:
Your adventure begins with searching for pan-tropical spotted, bottlenose dolphins, and other marine creatures, including humpback whales in whale season from Dec. to Mar. Our speedboat, KIBOU, can comfortably cover more territory faster than many others allowing you to spend more time with dolphins once we find them. This also offers us more opportunities to see wildlife during our snorkel times. We’ll keep an eye out for opportunities to view other marine life that frequent the area as well as Humpback whales during the winter months of December-March.
Once the captain spots the dolphins, you can enjoy their playful antics as the boat is carefully positioned to give you the best view while the crew will share facts about Hawaii’s marine life to enhance your experience. Don’t forget to sit on the side of the boat for the best view of the dolphins!
After enjoying the dolphin show, we will head towards the best snorkeling locations near the shore where our crew will guide you along the reef in pristine waters home to turtles, fish, and more! You can also relax on our floating mat or hop back onboard to relax.
During our snorkel stop, the crew will grill up a delicious BBQ lunch of grilled hot dogs (veggie dogs available upon request), chips, and water and juice for everyone. You’re also welcome to bring your food and beverages. Alcohol is permitted after snorkeling, but please no glass bottles. Enjoy your lunch as we cruise back to the harbor, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds of Hawaii’s ocean and tropical setting.
If 3 hours is too much time to fit into your schedule, check out our 2-hour long dolphin watch and snorkel tour. Join us for an unforgettable experience of dolphin watching and snorkeling along the reef with turtles, fish, and more in Kona on the Big Island’s West Coast!
